Stop Planned Parenthood SA Coalition
A coalition of pro-life groups in San Antonio formed several months ago when we learned that Planned Parenthood was expanding their abortion business at a new location at 2140 Babcock Road in the Medical Center area. The approx. 20,000 sq. ft. building space is being renovated as a major ambulatory surgical center to comply with new state regulations in Texas. The building is in city district 8, Councilman Ron Nirenberg’s district. Nirenberg has washed his hands of any oversight responsibility over Planned Parenthood’s quick and easy permitting, considering the building in question was zoned for light commercial use like 7-11 grocery stores, not for medical centers performing surgical operations. Activities are underway to obstruct and slow down the progress of the new Planned Parenthood abortion center which will make San Antonio the abortion capital of South Texas. Stay tuned for notifications and invitations to rallies, public action, and prayer events being planned in 2015. We must not relent in fighting the largest abortion “enterprise” in the country and letting city officials (who are up for re-election in May) know that San Antonio is pro-life and we strongly object to construction permits being fast tracked for the biggest abortion center to be located in the middle of San Antonio which will be shuttling abortion-bound women from around South Texas, performing thousands of abortions per year. This type of “tourism” San Antonio does not need.

Mother of the Americas Institute: A Think Tank for the New Evangelization
Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe Coming to San Antonio
The St. Joan of Arc Brigade of San Antonio is sponsoring the San Antonio visitation of the Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe from January 15th to February 2nd 2015 to bring the faithful to prayer in defense of the sanctity of life, the sanctity of marriage, and for the reparation of all souls back to God. She is indeed the Star of the New Evangelization. This Image is an exact replica of the miraculous tilma that remains intact at the Basilica and Shrine of Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe in Mexico City. Our Lady’s apparition brought 9 million souls in the Americas of the 16th Century into the Catholic faith within 10 years. The bishops of Mexico commissioned the missionary image to travel throughout the Americas to end abortion and bring souls to conversion. There are many activities planned for the missionary image of Our Lady during her visit to San Antonio. This Image has traveled all over the world and brought many spiritual, physical and emotional healing. As in previous visits, the Sacred Image will be visiting the locations of those most hungry for Our Lord: prisons, nursing homes, and the bedside of the sick and dying, schools, parishes and in peaceful prayer vigils at local abortion clinics. We will also be visiting the shelter, All Things New, Inc., for Human / Sex Trafficked women and their babies in San Antonio. We invite the faithful to come and join us for the special visit of our Blessed Mother’s Missionary Image during her mission to the San Antonio area. The schedule of visitations and events is available on the St. Joan of Arc Brigade website.
